FM Radios catching up fast in bordering districts with Nepal

Patna, (Bihar Times): Several FM radio channels have come up recently in the bordering districts of Nepal. They are not only emerging as popular mode of entertainment for the people across the border in Bihar but they are also being used by the politicians of the state for their election campaign. According to a report in the Times of India the FM radio stations they will broadcast the speeches of politicians, mostly in Maithili, the language spoken in most of the bordering districts of Bihar as they are popular in Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi etc. The channels use both Nepali and Maithili for their programmes. Madhesis (people of Indian origina living in Nepal) speak Maithili.
