Clear frequencies requested for China quake relief

Hams worldwide have been asked to keep 7.050 and 7.060 MHz clear for emergency communications in the wake of China's second major earthquake in a year, on April 13. According to the ARRL, the request came from the Chinese Radio Sports Association, which is coordinating
ham radio activity in the relief efforts. Nearly 1200 people were killed by the 7.1-magnitude quake in Qinghai Province, another 10,000 were hurt and thousands of families were left homeless.
